1977 Snoopy Dean ”Wiggle That Thing” on Blue Candle.

Killer Miami down-low soul, so good it should probably be illegal. In 1965 The Soul Pleasers released one single on Jack Taylor’s mighty Rojac. TSP soon morphed into Third Guitar, and with the addition of Snoopy Dean to the vocals of Eddie Holloway, released four more singles before packing it in. Snoop had quite a bit more to say on the subject of life, love, war, peace, and Wigglin’ Things, so he jumped onto Henry Stone’s mighty Blue Candle and released this Pure Soul soul grail. After that, Snoop basically became a guitar slanger for hire, and is all over some pretty deep and obscure Miami indies, but I’d place “Wiggle” firmly in the “Southern Nights” Allan Toussaint realm of steamy Gulf grit and top funky boogie action. Oh hell yea.
