1. Roy Cohn was the chief counsel of Sen. Joseph "Tailgunner Joe" McCarthy during the Red Scare/HUAAC trials of the 50's. By the end of the trials they were two of the most hated men in America. Ronald Reagan, then a Democrat and head of the Screen Actors Guild, betrayed his fellow actors by testifying under pressure from McCarthy. Roy Cohn, an infamously closeted and ruthless lawyer with a taste for BDSM, died of AIDS while vehemently insisting he did not have AIDS, or apologizing for his part in the "Lavender Scare" of the 50's, the purpose of which was explicitly to terrorize homosexuals. He was also instrumental in the prosecution and execution of Julius and Ethel Rosenberg for spying for the Soviets. Julius was, in fact, guilty, recruited by infamous spymaster Semyon Semyonov. Ethel seems to have been more or less along for the ride. Either way, both were electrocuted at Sing Sing. The US government took selling state secrets somewhat seriously then, although it seems fine now to store them in a Krispy Kreme box in your Mar-A-Lago pantry.

2. Roy Cohn went on to represent Anthony "Fat Tony" Salerno, Underboss of the Genovese crime family, who more or less controlled all concrete contracts in New York and New Jersey. At the same time, Cohn began to represent and mentor Young Donald Trump, who somehow managed to get numerous properties built requiring an untold tonnage of concrete in Manhattan and Atlantic City without Mob/Union interference. Possibly just a coincidence. Cohn is also known to have repeatedly drummed into the wide-eyed heir the motto "Attack, counterattack, and never apologize." Roy Cohn was eventually disbarred and died in disgrace.
